Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, has announced that two of its projects were under the spotlight at the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards (ILAM MLAA) 2019. The “Integrated Golf Resort Master Plan” in the Philippines won the ILAM MLAA Honour Award of “Landscape Analysis and Study Award” in the Professional Category, whilst the “Landmark 81” won the ILAM MLAA Honour award of “Landscape Design Awards” in the Professional Category. The awards, organised by the Institute of Landscape Architecture Malaysia (ILAM) and endorsed by the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), aim to celebrate landscape architecture industry excellence and honour the best in landscape architecture from various aspects of the industry. Christian Dierckxsens, Atkins’ Senior Associate Director for Landscape in Asia Pacific, said: “These awards are a tremendous recognition to our studio’s capability in creating and master planning unique and large-scale spaces throughout the region.” Another Atkins large-scale landscape masterplan project that won an award recently was the Gamuda Cove masterplan project. It scooped the Silver Award in the Landscape Planning & Master Planning category of the HKILA Landscape Award 2018.
