The 12th edition of the Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition for Asia (OS+H Asia) in Singapore will now take place as a hybrid event from 8 to 12 November 2021, announced the organiser Messe Düsseldorf Asia. The in-person component of the event will be held at the Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability.
OS+H Asia 2021 Hybrid Edition is aimed at driving the OSH industry forward and embracing business transformation, and will be anchored on four key pillars focused on pertinent issues within today’s OSH landscape and the upskilling of safety professionals. These include: tech innovation stage, hosted buyer sessions, virtual showcase, and thought leadership conferences and seminars.
“The shift to a hybrid edition in 2021 will ensure continuity in the OSH space as Singapore prepares to open up in the coming months, the coronavirus turns into an endemic over time, and potential travel corridors are set up,” explained Messe Düsseldorf Asia.
The exhibition was meant to take place as a full physical event at Marina Bay Sands from 29 September to 1 October 2021, after being postponed three times. “However, due to ongoing travel restrictions, limitations to large-scale events, and varying quarantine requirements, this has made it extremely challenging for many international exhibitors and visitors to responsibly plan their participation for the September dates,” said Messe Düsseldorf Asia.
The organiser emphasised that OS+H Asia 2021 Hybrid Edition will run in accordance with the necessary safe management measures and practices as stipulated by the guidelines under the Event Industry Resilience Roadmap (IRR) and the latest government advisories.
More details on the OS+H Asia 2021 Hybrid Edition as well as visitor online pre-registration will be announced in a press release at a later date. The physical edition of OS+H Asia is scheduled to return in September 2022.
